Münch Chemie obtains Air Freight “Known Consignor” status

In October 2012 Münch Chemie was certified by the LBA (Luftfahrt Bundesamt: German Federal Office for Aviation) and the company now holds the status of Known Consignor.

This means that Münch Chemie has established a security programme in compliance with the European regulations (Regulation EC 300/2008 and Regulation EU 185/2010) in order to anticipate threats in air space and implemented it into procedures, which categorically rules out any unauthorized access to shipments during the preparation phase.

Moreover relating to these EU Regulations, any company wishing to dispatch its freight by air from 25 March 2013 has to expect additional security checks at airports if they do not have the status “Known Consignor”. This may lead to delays in processing air cargo shipments, which are often time-critical and add considerable costs.
